Setting Up Tpad for X-lite


Most such devices need to be configured. The normal way of doing this is via a menu on the phone or via a web based menu that appear when the IP address of the phone is typed into a web browser.
Just like Softphones you will need to amend the Settings to the following. You do not need to do this if a phone has already been set up for you. Exact descriptions may vary with phone type and not all of these may be requested in the menu. See the individual section on IP phones and Mobile Phones. Normally you leave most things as default and just enter server addresses (sip.tpad.com), Tpad Number and Password in relevant places.
IP Address modeDHCP (dynamic is best)
Registrar:sip.tpad.com
Proxy server:sip.tpad.com
Outbound proxy server:sip.tpad.com
Account name/User ID/SIP ID
Sometimes called Authentication ID		= Your Tpad Number e.g. 17XXXXX
Password/ Authen. password= Your password which you created
SIP port:5060 (or 8891 or 8791 or 80 if VoIP is blocked in your Area)
Codecs= leave as default
