How to Open an Administrator-Level CMD (Command Prompt) in Windows 7


Sometimes we need to open Command Prompt (cmd) in Administrator level, for example when we want to create Windows To Go (Step by step guide available soon), we should run a Command Prompt as Administrator and then format the USB flash drive from it. Here’s how to open Command Prompt as Administrator in Windows 7:
  1. Click Start > type cmd
    type cmd
  2. Press and hold down Ctrl+Shift and then hit Enter
    hold down CRTL+SHIFT keyshit enter key
  3. Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?
    Program name: Windows Command Processor
    Verified publisher: Microsoft Windows
    click Yes
    User Account Control window
  4. Done!
    command prompt as Administrator
